VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) members as part of AmeriCorps create and expand programs designed to bring community members out of poverty. Our VISTA project has VISTAs placed at ten unique and locally-based organizations in Louisville, working to alleviate poverty through economic development, educational programs, and refugee and immigrant integration efforts.
Since 2007, our VISTAs have streamlined volunteer programs, designed out-of-school time educational programs, partnered with community organizations to expand services, raised hundreds of thousands of dollars through fundraising and grant-seeking activities, and much more!
